About Storebælt

The holding company, Sund & Bælt, owns the shares in A/S Storebælt, A/S Øresund, Femern A/S, Sund & Bælt Partner A/S and BroBizz A/S. Sund & Bælt is also responsible for the finance, operations and maintenance of the subsidiaries.

A/S Storebælt

A/S Storebælt owns the Storebælt link (The Great Belt Bridge), road and railway. A/S Storebælt is responsible for the technical operations and maintenance of the road link and the maintenance of the rail link.

A/S Storebælt owns four ferry ports north and south of the Storebælt link. These are Odden and Ebeltoft, Spodsbjerg and Taars.

A large proportion of Sund & Bælt’s 137 employees work with the Storebælt Bridge. In addition, around 200 employees are employed by the private contractors responsible for operation and maintenance tasks on the road and rail link.
