The cash price for passenger cars and vans up to 6 meters in length on the Great Belt Bridge will be reduced by 45 DKK from the turn of the year. This is due to the Eurovignette Directive, which allows a maximum discount of 13 percent when using automatic payment on the Great Belt Bridge. It is still cheaper to use automatic solutions with license plate recognition or BroBizz, but the difference will be smaller from the turn of the year.
What does the Eurovignette Directive mean for the price?
The amended Eurovignette Directive means that the savings from using automatic payment can be a maximum of 13 percent compared to the list price. In 2024, the discount for using automatic payment was 28.75 percent. Therefore, the list prices for passenger cars paying by card or cash will be reduced by 45 DKK, so the savings from using automatic payment from January 1, 2025, will be a maximum of 13 percent.
Who sets the prices on the Storebælt Bridge?
The prices for crossing the Great Belt Bridge are set through a political agreement.
How are the rates adjust
The rates on the Storebælt Bridge are adjusted annually based on the development of the consumer price index. This means that prices are regulated in relation to inflation to ensure they reflect current economic conditions.

All prices are for one-way trips.

When you drive through the toll station on the Storebælt Bridge, the size of your vehicle is measured automatically and your price is then calculated. We measure the total height and the total length.
The price depends on the dimensions of your vehicle measured at the time of the crossing.
This means that the measurement of the vehicle’s total height and total length includes any additional equipment that you may have installed behind and on top of your vehicle at the time of the crossing. This could include a trailer, bike rack, luggage box, running boards, towbar, or similar that increases the length or height of the vehicle (NOTE: the list is not exhaustive).
